The Animal Antics Camp-In - 6:30 p.m. Friday, January 28 to 8 am. Saturday, January 29 - is a free event for children who make and keep a pledge to turn off their TV and other non-homework screens during the week of January 22-28. Pledges must be received by the end of the day on Saturday, January 22.
Youth Services staff and volunteers will entertain campers and their families with crafts and activities, followed by a snack and special performance by Anne Rutherford, storyteller extraordinaire.
"No TV" pledges are available at the Youth Services Reference Desk or at the West Salem Branch Library or online.
Pledges must be returned to the Library by Saturday, January 22 in order to be eligible for the Camp-In.
Interested campers need to make reservations beginning Tuesday, January 25 at the Youth Services Reference Desk in person or by phone at 503-588-6088.
