POLICE INVESTIGATE BICYCLE VS VEHICLE TRAFFIC CRASH

Location: Madrona Ave SE & Pringle Rd SE
Case #12-42698

Officers responded to a bicyclist vs vehicle crash at 9:51pm. Preliminary investigation indicates a 2005 Toyota van, driven by Kristi Clack, 32 yrs of Salem was traveling westbound on Madrona Ave SE proceeding through the intersection of Pringle Rd SE when her vehicle was struck by a bicyclist identified as Forrest S. Jordan, 26 yrs of Salem. Jordan had been traveling northbound on Pringle Rd SE prior to the crash.

Jordan, who was not wearing a bicycle helmet, sustained life threatening injuries and is currently being treated at Salem Hospital. Jordan, who had no identification on his person, was positively identified at about 12:35am, 10/30/12, at which time family notification was made.

The Traffic Control Unit responded and will continue the traffic crash investigation.
