Salem Police Dept.: All eastbound traffic lanes on Mission St in Salem are blocked at Hawthorne Ave NE due to a serious motor vehicle crash. One westbound traffic lane is also blocked east of the intersection. Eastbound traffic is being diverted northbound onto Hawhorne Ave NE. It is anticipated that this closure will be for an extended period of time. Drivers should avoid this area if possible.
