On June 7th, a purse was stolen from the Mission Mill Museum. Since that date, there have been numerous attempts to use the identity of the victim, as well as credit cards that were in the purse. Surveillance video from the Mission Mill Museum shows a man and a woman who are persons of interest in the theft of the purse. The Salem Police Department has attempted to identify them by contacting employees at the jail, as well as parole and probation officers. These efforts have proven to be unsuccessful.

The Salem Police Department is now releasing the photos to the public in the hope that someone will recognize them. Anyone recognizing them is asked to telephone Detective Sergeant Ben Bales at (503)540-2464.
