Suspect Charged With May 25th Bank Robbery

SUSPECT CHARGED WITH MAY 25TH BANK ROBBERY

Yesterday morning, just after 10:00 am, Salem Police detectives went to the 500 block of 25th St SE and arrested Jesse Hensley, 44 years of age, without incident. Hensley is accused of robbing the US Bank, 1317 State St, on May 25th.

On May 25th, a lone gunman entered the bank at approximately 10:30 am, displayed a handgun, and demanded cash. No one was injured in the incident and the robber made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Hensley was booked into the Marion County Correctional Facility charged with Robbery I. The Salem Police Department is investigating the incident along with the FBI.
