Two fire officers with the Salem Fire Department are retiring in June who have a combined experience of 67 years of service in the community.

Battalion Chief Bob Davis has served the Salem community for over 35 years. Chief Davis was initially hired by the Salem Fire Department in January of 1975. He advanced through the ranks of the department, earning promotions to Engineer, Captain, and in 1991, was promoted to the rank of Battalion Chief.

Captain Larry Miletta has served the Salem community for over 31 years. He began his career with Salem Fire in August of 1980 and also promoted up through the ranks, first as an Engineer and then to the position of Captain in 1988.

The Salem Fire Department will miss the leadership and experience that both these individuals brought to the organization and wish them well in their retirement.
