Go Downtown teams up with Relay for Life to “Paint the Town Purple” and help celebrate more birthdays for everyone! The objective of the evening’s events is to build awareness, celebrate life, and help raise money for an important cause. Businesses and musicians will come together to help make the evening one of respect, remembrance, and celebration.

Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature event. The event gets people together to raise money and awareness for cancer initiatives. Relay for Life and Go Downtown offers everyone in our community a chance to participate in the fight against cancer. 10 teams will come from every part of our community: families, churches, schools and businesses to take part in this First Wednesday. Cancer survivors are encouraged to participate and the first 80 to sign in at the Survivor’s Table will receive a goodie bag with a chance to enter to win gifts valuing over $150.00. The Survivor’s Table will be on the corner of Liberty and Court Streets.
