Treat your mom to a nice meal in town Sunday. Lot's of restaurants are competing for your business. There's a list of some of them at my other blog eatsalem.com.
If you're planning on making a meal for your mom, the place to get the ingredients is the Salem Saturday Market downtown. The theme there is "Buy Fresh, Buy Local." While you're shopping, there's plenty of places to eat. If you go by the Queen of Tarts booth tell Roxie I said "Hello."
There's also the local option of the Salem Public Market, Oregon's oldest farmer's market. It's on Rural Ave. between 12th and 13th streets SE. Look for the big red storefront.
