SALEM POLICE ARREST ROBBER

Thursday evening at about 7:30 PM, the Corner Market, 2809 Market St NE, reported being robbed by a male displaying a black handgun. No one was injured in the incident and an undisclosed amount of cash was taken. Officers responded to the area to investigate. Jason Tommy Leader, 36 years of age, was contacted in the 3200 block of Market St NE. Leader was subsequently booked into the Marion County Correctional Facility on a charge of Robbery II. The bulk of the stolen money, along with an airsoft handgun, has been recovered.
