SALEM POLICE INVESTIGATE SHOOTING

At 4:40 hrs., Salem Police Patrol Officers responded to the area of Northgate Park, 3260 Northgate Ave NE, due to multiple reports of a subject shooting a firearm at another subject as he chased him on foot. At the time, there were several people out in the neighborhood.
The subject who had been shooting, was not located and is described as a Hispanic male. The subjects physical and clothing description provided was vague and inconsistent.
The subject who was chased was described as a Hispanic or black male. This subject has not been identified at this point.
No one was found to have been hit by the gunfire, nor were any nearby homes found to be hit.
Anyone who witnessed the shooting incident, has information concerning those involved or about the incident are asked to call Salem Police at 503-588-6123.
