ARMED ROBBERY AT DELI

On January 5, 2012 at 9:56 p.m. the Salem Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Northside Speakeasy Deli at 2505 Liberty St NE. The robbery suspect is described as a White Male, 26-32 years, 6'2" with blond chin hair. He was wearing a black beanie, black hoodie and blue jeans. The suspect was armed with a handgun. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of money from the business. Nobody was hurt during the robbery. The suspect fled on foot northbound from the business. A K-9 track was conducted and ended in the parking lot of a nearby business. It is suspected the suspect had a vehicle parked at this location which he left the area in. No further information at this time.
