BANK ROBBER ARRESTED FOR ROBBING WELLS FARGO BANK

Yesterday at about 11:15 AM, a male walked into the Wells Fargo Bank located at 580 State St in Salem, displayed a note, and made off with an undisclosed amount of money. No weapon was displayed and no one was injured.
Salem Police Department detectives developed information that the suspect was Rodney Lee Kahl, 58 years of age. Kahl is on post prison supervision for Robbery I. Kahl was located today at about 12:30 this afternoon walking along Lancaster Dr NE near Sunnyview. He was taken into custody without incident.
Kahl will be booked into the Marion County Correctional Facility on a charge of Robbery II.
