First Wednesday - August 3rd

Not only will you find dancing in the streets (flash mob?), but what a perfect time to browse Salem's galleries. I hear Roger Yost's has just opened.

"Local dance schools, groups, theaters and musicians come together for an evening of toe tapping fun as Downtown Salem comes alive on First Wednesday with music and dance for all ages and interests. There will be Greek dancing and ballet in the Reed Opera House, and a Dance Mob on Chemeketa Street. Kick up your heels with country swing dancing to the music of the Oregon Valley Boys on Chemeketa or take in some easy listening music at the Equitable Center. You can enjoy dancing on the sidewalks with The City Dance Theatre at the entrance to the Liberty Plaza or head inside the mall for classic Tap Dancing. Whatever you decide, put on your dancin' shoes and Go Downtown!"
