Objects" led by local artist and instructor Nancy Eng. The workshop
will be 2:30 – 4:30 p.m., Saturday, May 21, in Anderson Rooms A&B at
the Salem Public Library, 585 Liberty Street SE.
"Assemblage with Found Objects" is a workshop for those who love to
transform everyday objects into personal art treasures.
The instructor will provide all the materials needed to create two
beautiful and inspiring assemblages. Each participant will be given a
tin candy box and a large puzzle piece to complete, as well as materials
that everyone has around the house, such as lace, ribbons, photos,
buttons, bottle caps, and beads.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own photos (photocopies
only- larger than 2" x 3") and mementos to make an even more
personal creation. This class will be easy and fun, and no experience
is required.
Instructor Nancy Eng is an artist who enjoys experimenting with all
kinds of media, finding creative uses for what others consider
"trash." For more information, or to see samples of her work, go
to www.NancyEng.com.
This is a free craft program for adults (16 and older), and the class
size is limited to 20. Pre-registration is required online at the "My
Calendar" link at www.salemlibrary.org or by phone at 503-588-6052.
