Salem Police Dept.: Any media crews responding to this incident are asked to approach the scene from the west on Center St and stage in the parking lot of the Marion County Juvenile Department at 3040 Center St NE.
From southbound I-5, take the Market St exit, proceed west on Market St to Park Ave NE and turn south. Proceed to Center St and turn east, then turn right into the Juvenile Department lot and contact Lt Okada by cell phone.
Salem Police SWAT is on scene of a possible armed subject in a residence in the 3200 block of Center St NE. Center St NE is currently blocked at Hawthorne St NE and Bieber St NE. No estimated time when the street will re-open. UPDATE
