Boogie Woogie Concert coming up at Salem Public Library

October's Boogie Woogie Concert at Salem Public Library will be a costume party and show featuring Nana Banana. Preschoolers and their parents are invited to come out in full Halloween regalia to enjoy the show:

10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 26

Loucks Auditorium at Salem Public Library

Free and open to the public

Nana Banana (aka Cinda Tilgner) is colorful, happy-go-lucky and full of exuberance when it comes to relating to small children and their adults. Full of her infectious spirit, this concert for preschoolers incorporates music appreciation and early word recognition of shapes, colors, numbers and nursery rhymes. Rhythm instruments, shakers, claves, drums and more invite everyone to "groove" together. This show is guaranteed to bring smiles to young and old.

This program is free and open to the public on a first-come, first-seated basis. The show takes the place of the regular Tuesday morning Preschool Story Time. More information is available from the Youth Services Reference Desk at 503-588-6088 or online at www.salemlibrary.org.

Boogie Woogie Concerts at Salem Public Library are funded by a Ready to Read Grant from the Oregon State Library.
