Before the popular book and television character D.W., there was a little girl named Kim Brown - real life little sister of "Arthur" creator Marc Brown. Fans of all ages can see Kim Brown at "Meet D.W. at Salem Public Library."
7 p.m. Wednesday, October 27
Loucks Auditorium at Salem Public Library, 585 Liberty St. SE
Free & open to the public
Seating on a first-come, first-seated basis
Kim offers the behind-the-scenes scoop on the various Arthur series characters and the real people on whom they are based: Was the real D.W. a picky eater? Did she Flip? How did Marc Brown decide what his characters would look like? Kim will even read from one of her favorite books by Marc Brown (about D.W. of course). This will be a perfect evening for anyone who has ever loved the Arthur books.
