SALEM SHOOTING VICTIM DIES

The victim of the Saturday morning shooting at the Londonaire Apartments, 955 Concord St NE, died Saturday evening at Salem Hospital. He has been identified as 23 year old Charlie Rivera of Woodburn. Next of kin have been identified. An autopsy is planned for Monday morning.
Salem Police officers had responded to the parking lot of the Londonaire Apartments at approximately 3:45 yesterday morning in response to reports of shots being fired. They discovered Rivera had been shot while sitting in his parked car. Salem Police detectives were called out to investigate the crime. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to telephone Detective Tony Vandekoppel at (503)540-2353.
