SALEM POLICE INVESTIGATING EARLY MORNING SHOOTING

At approximately 3:45 AM this morning, the Salem Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in the parking lot of the Londonaire Apartments, 955 Concord St NE. Responding officers found a 23 year old male in a parked vehicle who had been shot. The victim was transported to Salem Hospital where he remains in critical condition. Officers unsuccessfully attempted a K9 track from the vehicle. The name of the victim is not being released at this time.
Salem Police detectives were called out and are investigating this incident. There is no suspect information at this time. Anyone with information regarding this crime is asked to telephone Detective Tony Vandekoppel at (503)540-2353.
