SALEM POLICE SERVE SEARCH WARRANT ON ENCHANTED WAY

Just after 5:30 this morning, the Salem Police SWAT team served a search warrant at 8372 Enchanted Way Space 76. The resident, Wayne Lee Newman, 50 years of age, was subsequently cited and released for Forgery I and Theft II.
The search warrant is part of an on-going check fraud investigation. Last Wednesday, Salem Police detectives arrested four people in front of Wal-Mart, 5250 Commercial St SE.
The investigation will be continuing.
