Salem Public Library - First-Time Job Seekers - I Need a Job! Now What?

It's an age-old story. The people doing the hiring want someone with
experience, but how (oh, how?) is a person supposed to ever get
experience if they can't get a job? What does it take to break in?

Salem Public Library welcomes teens and other first-time job seekers to
"I Need a Job! Now What?"

6:30-7:30 p.m.
Thursday, May 19
Anderson Room A
Salem Public Library

In this panel discussion by employment specialists and managers who
hire for entry-level positions, the group will engage in a frank
discussion of what works, what doesn't, and what it takes to get and
keep a job.

This event is free, with pre-registration recommended through the "My
Calendar" link at the Salem Public Library website,
www.salemlibrary.org, or at the Teen Library Service Desk,
503-588-6364.

Teen programs are sponsored by the Friends of the Salem Public
Library.
