SALEM POLICE OFFICER INVOLVED IN A SHOOTING

A Salem Police officer has been involved in a shooting with a robbery suspect in the vicinity of Commercial St SE and Boice St. The officer was not injured and the suspect has been wounded. Commercial Street has been shut down between Hoyt St and Boice St.
In accordance with Salem Police protocol, the Oregon State Police have been contacted to investigate the shooting and they are on scene at this time.
