This is a perfect example of why I strongly oppose the death penalty: Even in the day of DNA forensics, evidence can be lost,tampered with,witnesses can be unreliable. In this case the very "science" itself can be unreliable. It is better to set a guilty man free than to lock up an innocent man for a crime he didn't commit.
