There was another pigskin thriller last night on the southernmost high school football field in Salem. The South Salem Saxons handed the Sprague Olympians their second defeat in league play. The final score, after a seesaw battle was 35-32 South. This game settled the league's 2nd place tie between the two teams, with West Salem, undefeated in league, holding the number one spot followed by South then Sprague. All three of these teams are led by big athletic quarterbacks that have benefited from the dry weather we have been fortunate to have on Friday nights this season. QB Conor Lynch ran one 84 yards for South as the Saxons played strong on both ends of the field in this comeback victory. Check out the highlights.
