Pokemon Salem Oregon 2009

Here's an interesting event that happened in Salem on Oct. 4th. 82 participants got together to play Pokemon at this Battle Roads Tournament. This meetup was the largest Pokemon gathering in state history. There wasn't a whole lot of info online about this except this forum. http://pokegym.net/forums/showthread.php?p=1531124. My kids have had these cards for years and I've never been able to figure out exactly how it's played as a game. This year the big game they play on the bus is Bakugan. According to my son, Bakugan is bigger then Pokemon. They're little magnetic balls that open up into creatures when they are exposed to metal.
