Salem Police Dept.: Center St NE closed to all east and west bound traffic between 14th St NE and 17th St NE due to single car crash. A single vehicle left the roadway and struck a power pole, shearing that pole off at its base. PGE is responding to assess and fix the damaged pole and downed lines. Center St NE between 14th St NE and 17th St NE closed to all traffic for an estimated 3 to 4 hours. Cause of accident still under investigation.
