Comedy Murder Mystery-Oct. 8th-Salem Red Lion Hotel

Here's a copy and paste from a recent email.
Hi Salemites,

Hope that this email finds you well.  I am looking for ways to get the word out about our upcoming comedy murder mystery performance of "So Long Saloon: How The West Got Dead!"  This is our very first event in the Salem area, and we are looking forward to doing many more.  But since our show is dinner theatre, we need to let people know about our show at least two weeks prior to the event, because people must reserve their seats in advance.  Do you have any ideas (aside from posting the event on your website) that might help let people know about us?  Do you happen to have a Facebook page or email newsletter that you could help us out with?  We'd really appreciate it!

Here's a little background on Poison Pen Players.  We are headquartered in Florence, but are originally from Los Angeles area.  We have been in the "business of murder" for over 14 years now, and have traveled the USA performing for folks in all walks of life, including many "big wig" corporate clients such as Kaiser, Nike, Pepsi, Sprint and the Walt Disney Corporation.  We also regularly perform for Three Rivers Casino in Florence.  Our last show sold out to over 750 guests in one weekend!  Our murder mysteries are all original, fully scripted, written by our team of authors, and feature many over the top characters and hilarious situations.  The audience gets to actively participate in solving a crime, with the help of our detective character, while enjoying a delicious three course meal.  The murder occurs right before their eyes, and they all become detectives themselves.  By the time dessert is served, they must vote for the person whom they believe did the dirty deed.  And the winning team gets a prize.

This particular show is very fun!  It is based in the late 1800's Wild West, and several of the characters get transformed into werewolves mid-show.  We will be touring throughout OR with "So Long Saloon," and are excited to be performing in Medford, Eugene, Florence, Elkton, Coos Bay, Turner, and more!   Here is our current schedule:  http://www.poisonpenplayers.com/specialevents.html

You can learn a great deal about us on our website:  www.poisonpenplayers.com.   If you click on the "You Tube" link, (http://www.poisonpenplayers.com/youtube.html) there is a publicity video for "So Long Saloon" that gives you a tiny taste.  There are also audience testimonials, photos, an "about us" page, and videos of other shows.  The major thing I'd like to stress is that we have been doing this for a long time, and we have it down to a science.  Our guests often leave our shows proclaiming that they cannot wait until the next opportunity to see a PPP show!

I am more than happy to answer any questions.  To reach me directly:  541-999-8641

Thanks again for your help in getting the word out.  We'd love to become a regular part of the local professional Salem arts scene, but we just need folks to know about us.  Have a "killer" day!

Warmly,
Melanie
